Kevin Hawley is the Chief of the Cartographic Products and Services Branch in the Geography Division of the U.S. Census Bureau. He has worked at the Census Bureau since 2005. While working in the positions of geographer, team leader, and branch chief, he has been involved in a variety of geographic and cartographic work, including interactive and automated map production, web mapping, geographic area delineation, and spatial conflation. His current work includes managing the production of maps, services, and other cartographic products to support data collection and dissemination efforts for censuses and surveys. Mr. Hawley holds a Master’s degree in Geography from The Ohio State University, with a focus on analytical cartography and geographic information science. In addition, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, also from The Ohio State University, with a focus on geographic information systems.
