The Cartography and Geographic Information Society is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Xiaobai Angela Yao as Editor-in-Chief for this journal. Dr. Yao is a professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Georgia and has been actively serving as an Associate Editor with Dr. Eric Delmelle, the current Editor-in-Chief of the CaGIS journal. She also recently served (2020–2024) in the CaGIS Officer rotation and was co-Program Chair of the AutoCarto 2022 conference.
Dr. Yao assumed the duties of the Editor-in-Chief position on 1 October 2025 and is working with Dr. Delmelle during a transition period. CaGIS and the Editorial Board would like to sincerely thank Dr. Delmelle (Eric) for his outstanding leadership in maintaining the journal’s reputation for relevance and excellence.
We would also like to continue our tradition of acknowledging the time and hard work of our reviewers without whom we could not create this journal. Their work on any particular manuscript remains anonymous, but once a year the Journal thanks them all in one collective message of appreciation. Thanks to all 215 reviewers who together produced 374 reviews!
